Title: Now playing script (yes, seriously)
Post by: joeafterdinner on March 11, 2019, 08:18:04 pm
Hello. Love the program. I am trying to find a way to display what is playing through my JRiver 23 app to HexChat, which is an IRC client. I looked in the JRiver wiki but did not see any commands that would relay the now playing data to my OS (Windows). Can anyone give me some ideas as to how I can route the now playing information from JRiver to HexChat on Windows 10?

Thanks,
joeafterdinner

You might try MCWS.

For example:
http://localhost:52199/MCWS/v1/Playback/Info?Zone=-1

Will output all the information about the playing track.

If you look in the wiki, you'll find a lot more help.  MCWS also self-documents if you just visit the landing page.

Thanks. I'll check it out. Here's the MCWS wiki link for anyone else who needs it:
