Title: Blumlein Shuffling processing?
Post by: jacktoz on January 19, 2013, 01:20:16 pm
Greetings...

I'm wondering if you've had requests about adding Blumlein Shuffling to the DSP Suite?  I think it would be a useful playback option.

BTW, thanks for the ongoing development that continues to keep Media Center on top.  I haven't heard anything that sounds better.

Best,
Jack Tozzi

You might try DSP Studio > Effects > Surround Field.

It correlates roughly to Blumlein's M/S shuffling.

Hi Matt,

I did give it a try and it's quite effective. If anyone else wants to try it, I found the most natural results with Environment and Virtual Subwoofer set to none and the Surround Field set to subtle enhancement. Of course, your results may vary.
