Title: MC18 stopped recognizing/working with iPod Nano 3rd Gen
Post by: maxxsid on May 24, 2013, 01:46:06 am
Hello,
After I installed Media Monkey and did some syncing with my ipod with the Monkey, MC stopped working with the ipod.

The ipod is still fine, I can sync it with itunes and MediaMonkey but MC just hangs when I connect the ipod.
I tried "redetect all devices...", resore an older library - didn't help.
The last line in the log shows: "Handheld: CPortableDriveIpod::Initialize: Database parsed", then MC hangs - nothing gets logged after that.
Any idea anyone?
Attaching the log.
Thanks!

did a full system restore and all is well. probably, mediamonkey overwrote some apple files which broke something in mc-apple communication...

Stopped working again!
Maybe just "after a while" or after update to 18.0.191.
Downgraded to 18.0.150 and it started working again. Upgraded to 18.0.191 - keeps working...
What's going on..?
?

Seeing similar issues with iPod classics - fall over on latests builds, but happily interact with earlier builds.

What is going on, indeed?!

I have an iPod Touch 4rth gen...doesn't seem to work either...do either of you guys know if its supposed to work with MC18?

The lack of support in general is disappointing..I find this forum inadequate too.

So sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but if anyone knows if an iPod touch should work with MC18 windows 8 that would be great.

Have you tried the latest version of MC from the top of the MC18 board?

Most of the iPod problems are due to Apple's work.

You are too generous, Jim (and patient) -
My two cents "Most ALL of the iPod problems are due to Apple's work." I think Apple should pay JRiver
