Title: Duplicating Tracks

Don't know why, but Media Center is duplicating tracks within the directory structure intermittently.

Can you check the file-path of the duplicates?

As stiv32 says, compare the Filename field.  Select both tracks, and look at Filename in the Tag Action Window.  It will say [Varies] if the Filename fields are different, and will show a single value when they are the exactly the same.

Also, add an expression column in the file list (right click the file list column headers, Add Expression Column... and enter the expression:

   FileKey()

and OK your way out.  The file keys should not be the same, and if the Filename fields are exactly the same, you're probably experiencing a bug that several of us have reported.

The tracks were all in the folder with the track name with a [1] or [2] in front of the duplicate, which kept JRiver from being able to recognize them as dupes.

I deleted manually through explorer the ones I have found, but it is strange behavior.

Thanks for the follow-up.  MC wouldn't have created files by those names (nor would have Explorer, which adds a (#) at the end of the file name.  Curious.
