Title: File that is Playing Can't Be Deleted but MC loses track of the file
Post by: jack wallstreet on May 17, 2022, 04:01:49 pm
During my editing, I sometimes purposefully want to delete a track that is playing.  When I do that, the file is deleted from the database, but MC says it cannot delete the file because it is in use.  Is there a switch that fixes that (so the file can be deleted?).  In earlier versions of MC (I may be remembering incorrectly), I thought the file was put on hold and then deleted after it was no longer playing.  Maybe I am remembering incorrectly.  Can someone educate me please about this.?

Stop playback (not pause), then delete.

Yes, I do that --  when I remember --- but too often I forget and have to go find the file to delete which is a problem as it is no longer in the database.  I was hoping MC would make up from my imperfect actions.  I am guessing you are saying that MC never automatically did a delete when the music paused.  Must be another flaw in my memory banks (which would not be that unusual).  Thanks.
