Hi,
Maybe there's a better thread.... I just bought the Amazon Dot and was hoping the kids could ask this Alexa gizmo to play stuff from JRiver.
I can't make it work ... at all.
I have the access key but it tells me I need port forwarding on my router and from there I have no idea what to do. I can enable port forwarding on my router but honestly I have no idea what that means. I also don't know why it's needed since I'm not outside of my network ... ?

Thanks for reply-ing.
In the past I used the "network access" page of the wiki to enable JRemote from outside my network.

Currently I think something is off.... I have no idea what though... I'll have to work through it over and over till I remember what's been done wrong.

Found and fixed the problem.
The port forwarding was setup by my previously ... but my HTPC IP address is no longer static... for some reason.
So ... I had to forward the port to the right IP.
Thanks,
