Title: File path issue - cannot find file [Solved]
Post by: mrbooboy on March 03, 2016, 10:30:45 pm
Hi all,

I had a hard drive failure on my network drive and after replacing the drive, I cannot get MC19 to play files from the new drive unless I import the files into my library. However, by importing, I lose all my play count information (which is a disaster). When I use the rename function to change the file path of the original file to point to the new location, the file will not play - I get the error that the file does not exist. However, if I compare the file paths of the two files, they are exactly the same. Why does the imported one play but not the other?

I hope this make sense and that somebody can help me. I really don't want to lose all my play count information.

Thanks.

Problem solved!! The converted file names were not exactly the same. I was too focused on the file path to notice a slight variation in the file name.
