As a newbie to JRiver I have had a lot of success in creating my library in MC23 on a Win 10 PC and streaming to a DAC, even native DSDs.
The next step was for me to be able to remotely control MC23 on my Samsung S7.
I followed the instructions, installed Gizmo and played around with firewall settings but it will not connect. Checked the Gizmo permissions, no joy.
As a last measure I picked up my Nexus 7, installed Gizmo entered the access key and it worked straight away.
The only thing I can think of is a difference in the Android versions and perhaps tighter security in Nougat?
Can anyone assist?

Welcome to the forum.
I don't know of any problems with the S7 and it's a pretty common phone.
Typo in the Access Key?
Test from your LAN before you try the outside world.
The wiki has a topic called Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access).
