Title: QNAP surround
Post by: jason_a69 on November 26, 2016, 12:30:50 pm
Hi there,

Has anyone successfully configured surround sound to output to an AV amp? I am trying to play a multi-channel SACD ISO but I have not had any luck so far.

If so, can you please share your settings.

Thanks

Jason

Are you playing through HDMI?
If so, does the HDMI on the QNAP support multichannel? Not all chipsets do on linux.

Thanks Bob for your reply.

Check to make sure that the option "Auto configure output on playback error" under Options->Audio->Advanced is set to no.
Check DSP studio to see if the output formatting is on (it should be off).
Make sure to choose a hardware device in Options-Audio. You should see something like hdmi:.......
