I just upgraded to MC23 since I heard that it supports Netflix and YouTube.
I have superb video performance when playing 4k content from my hard disk.
On the other hand there is no hardware acceleration for YouTube.
How do I get MC23 to support YouTube or... netflix content.
I play it by clicking "open URL" and pasting the YouTube link to it.

I manage to play YouTube content via theater view but resolution of 4k YouTube video is played at a very very low resolution. Where can I set to higher resolution ?
I actually still prefer non theater view...

I tried to set Chromium as web browser instead of internet explorer but instead of fixing the no hardware acceleration problem, it showed the error in the attached image when opening YouTube links.
Chrome also stopped working and I had to set back to Internet Explorer to fix Chrome.

Why are you using MC23? MC24 is available now.

Set the resolution in YouTube. There is a settings icon on the screen.

In theater view the youtube video is played inside MC23 therefore it is impossible to set resolution there.

Anybody ?

Same answer as above.
-
You asked me to set resolution in YouTube and I answered that in theater view the youtube video is played inside MC23 and I found no way to set resolution there.
-
Set it outside Theater View.
Even in Theater View, MC uses a browser.

For the sake of our discussion and to make things simpler, let's forget about theater view.
1) I'm opening this 4k mind blowing film via MC23 (File; open URL): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2h7Dy7O2brs&t=17s
2) In both MC23 browser settings (IE and Chromium) :
The video opens up in Chrome in actual 4k resolution but since there is no hardware acceleration, video frame rate is horrible and PC is at 99% usage.
How to I set MC23 to open a 4K YouTube using hardware acceleration in the same way it (successfully) does for a local file ?
-
So ? No solution ? Can't use YouTube with hardware acceleration ?
