Title: ALAC tracks do not crossfade nor playback gapless

About 6 months ago I started adding ALAC tracks to my lib.  Using v12 and now v13 the ALAC tracks never crossfade nor do they playback gapless.  There is always a small pause between ALAC tracks no matter what Playback settings are used ... mp3 formats are fine.

MC uses the Quicktime engine to play ALAC, so MC can't manage the transitions.

There are some DirectShow filters for some Apple formats.  You might try google.

So if I find an ALAC DirectShow filter then MC can handle transitions?

Yes.  You'll also need to choose DirectShow in Options > File Types.
