Title: Stereo PCM music files playing on surround speakers . . .
Post by: billF on September 27, 2020, 03:33:51 pm
MC 26 is converting / processing my stereo PCM files somehow so they play on all 5 speakers.  I mostly listen to high res surround and these are not getting this processing.  Also, DSD stereo files are not getting this treatment and play properly on two speakers.  If it's a setting choice that I have been unable to find, I'd like the option to turn this processing off and play the files straight through to the Exasound E38 which is doing volume control.  Any help out there for this?

Thanks very much!

If is indeed MC that is doing it, it could only be done in the Output Format, Parametric Equalizer, or Effects modules in DSP Studio.

Turn off or reconfigure those modules.

Google jriver dsp studio and look at the wiki article at the top of the search results if you want to learn more about the modules.

If the effect persists after turning off all the modules in DSP studio, it is not MC doing it.
