Title: Network Primer
Post by: JimH on May 29, 2014, 03:37:44 pm
Here are some resources for how to use JRiver Media Center to play media in other locations on your network.

In brief, you can run Media Center on two or more PC's or Mac's and play media in either direction.  For example, you might store your media on a machine in your home office, then play it in the living room.

You can use several different remotes to control playback.  Two of the most common are Gizmo (http://wiki.JRiver.com/index.php/Gizmo) (for Android) and JRemote (http:///www.JRemote.net) (for iOS)

You can also play media from MC to a DLNA Renderer, or play media from a DLNA Server to MC.

You can play to several locations at once by using Zones.

You can read more or ask a question on our Media Network board (http://yabb.JRiver.com/interact/index.php?board=7.0).
