Title: Feature Request: Theater View - Launch & Control Apps (eg Netflix)
Post by: jmone on August 06, 2020, 08:45:04 pm
Theater View lets you launch others apps, but many of them (such as Netflix) does not have MCE controls (you have to use a Keyboard).  I've been using Netfix Remote Controller (http://sticky-ux.com/apps/NetflixRemoteController/docs.html#keys) and while it works well translating MCE Commands into Keyboard shortcuts to control Netflix (and return to MC when finished), it has not been maintained and is not scaleable to all the other streaming apps.

I'd still like to use MC as the GUI to launch and control all my media, including the Streaming Apps, so I'd suggest to expand the options in MC's Theater View Config to include the translation of MCE input into Keyboard Shortcuts.  Eg for Netflix it would be as per the pic:

Other options may be:
- Select the value to get into Full Screen Mode on Launch (it is "F" for Nexflix)
- Select the keypress to quit the app and get back to MC (I'd suggest Stop button)
- Press "2" change Display rate to 23.976hz, "5" for 50hz, and "6" for 60hz

I'd vote for that!
