Well, if you search JimH's posts (he's JRiver's CEO) he's posted multiple times that a license can be used on multiple machines, within reason. I assume like 3 or 4 machines are more than fine. I'm sure when it becomes 10, 15, 20, etc. then it can be an issue. Since you mentioned two, it should be fine.

One of the many posts Jim has responded to similar questions: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,129370.msg929303.html#msg929303 in fact the whole topic is a good one: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,129370.0.html

The catch is the license has to match the type of license you have. For example if you have a Windows license, then it'll work on Windows machines. If you have a master license then you can install and use it on Windows, Mac and Linux machines.

Hi, I don't need to restore a licence, I need to buy a new license for old software if needed. Also I did see the versions offered here but was looking for some other versions.

However, this isn't possible. They don't sell old licenses for old versions, only the current version (which is Media Center 32) is available for sale (and current licenses won't work for old versions). This question has come up a few times over the years and I'm sure if you search more of Jim's posts you can see him shooting down inquiries on selling old licenses.

Would like to see support for AVIF / PNG / gain mapped jpg in the image viewer. Lightroom supports exports in those formats now but there is little to no support for image viewers outside of web browsers that display them properly.

You can use a single MC license on multiple personal computers, no problem.

Hi, are you from JRiver? That is is this the official position of JRiver? If not can someone from JRiver please confirm? It would be helpful.

It is recommended that Youtube parsers use yt-dlp for faster, better, higher quality video and performance.

In addition, yt-dlp works not only for Youtube streaming, it works perfectly for most other streaming, and the project is so active that it is the single best solution worth adopting.

https://www.digitalcitizen.life/shortcut-arguments-parameters-windows/

Create a shortcut to nircmd.exe then edit the shortcut properties to add the arguments, something like "nircmd.exe exec hide c:\yourpath\yourscript.bat"

... or use nircmd to create the shortcut :)
> nircmd.exe cmdshortcut "~$folder.desktop$" "Start MC" exec hide c:\yourpath\yourscript.bat

You can change the shortcut icon after creating it.

Many thanks for that. I now have a shortcut on my desktop that opens MC, detaches the display for a specific zone, and then makes that the current zone. I could not have achieved that without all your help, for which I am very grateful :):):)

I'm not yet sure if hiding the screen flash created by a batch file by using nircmd is a slicker solution than my previous method of triggering the .bat file via a .vbs file, but it's good to have more than one way to do things.

I didn't know where else to put this. There wasn't any email listed.

I have licenses for MC 20,21 and 22. I currently use them on one PC. I want to use them on two PCs. Windows. I have only one license for each. I understand I may need to buy licenses to do this, I am happy to do this. If the JRiver staff could tell me how to purchase licenses for these older versions so I may use them on multiple PCs. Also if they could provide links to download certain older versions along with the license that would be great. The links need not be online permanently, only until I can download the installer. Please help me.

I do not want the newest version of JRiver. I am interested only in 20,21 and 22.

Thank you.
