I recently had to reinstall JR MC 24. I now have the problem that playback stops after just one file has played. This happens whether it's an album or a playlist. Anyone able to steer me in the right direction to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Please provide more details. Playing to a DLNA Renderer? Or locally? OS? Etc.

External hard drive attached via USB to a PC running Windows 10. JRiver MC 24 resident on the PC. From there the signal goes wirelessly to an Xfinity Gateway and then via Ethernet to a PS Audio DirectStream DAC. Prior to the reinstall of JR MC 24 the process worked seamlessly. Please let me know what other information I need to supply. Thanks for the assist.

Just tested the same scenario only this time had JR 24 send the files to an Oppo 105D. Same signal path (Xfinity via Ethernet to 105D) but in this case it goes from one file to the next without playback stopping.

Is it using DLNA? Or UPnP?
-
I have all three DLNA settings checked on the JR 24 but I'm not sure if that's what you mean.
-
Just checked and the DirectStream uses a UPnP protocol. It did work previously.

Please don't ask me why but after seeing that playback was progressing normally when using the Oppo 105D I switched back to the DirectStream DAC and now it, too, is playing properly with the normal progression of tracks and no stopping.
I'm sorry to have taken your time for what seems to have been a temporary glitch. Still don't understand why it happened.
