Title: Start playing current playlist, does not work from build 90
Post by: BayensF on December 14, 2012, 04:49:25 pm
In "Start up Actions" I have set the system tomplay the current playlist. This has always worked, now it does not anymore since build 90.

Is it a bug? I have 2 zones and before switch off the HTPC I always make sure the zone is active and playing it's playlist. As said it worked for the last year now it does not.

19-12-2012 Update done to 18.097, problem is not solved. I also reset customized view in Gizmo, when starting from Android it tell's me "you are at the bus" and it still does. If I remember well, in the past it was not it showed the playing zone.

Anyone else having the same problem?

It seems to be working for me, but there's one wrinkle.

If you run 'Media Server', it only starts playback when you first launch and not when you come out of server mode.  Could that be what you're seeing?

I think we should probably change this.

Hi Matt,

I updated today to the latest version, after the update the start worked. After a reboot it did not.

What do you mean by media server. Is this the one we need to play on external devices like iPAD?
If that is the case I can switch it off for now, as I do not need it.

I assume this does not affect Control by Gizmo.

Tools > Options > Startup > Windows Startup > Run on Windows startup: Nothing.

After you make this change, quit Media Center.  Then, open Task Manager, and kill any Media Center process that remains.

@ Matt: perhaps changing this setting to disabled should then kill the server process upon MC exit.

Thanks MrC,

This worked, MC is set to "Nothing" at windows start up. I stopped the process in the Task Manager.

I added in Windows 7 to start MC at start up.

Done, working, Good job!
