I've been listening to some of the Cloudplay playlists. We'll add some to Radio JRiver this week.
There are so many good ones. dawgincontrol, tedr, dsteiny, and many others. I've enjoyed them a lot, and I've bought a couple of CD's.
Here are my notes from tonight:
Dodos67, Just Music, eclectic
donlboy, Fine Listening Sampler, eclectic
dulf, Lossless 60s and 70s, eclectic
EdBrady, Pop chart countdown: September 14, 1957, eclectic
I'm listening to EdBrady's list right now. It's a countdown of the popular songs from 1957. It's so evocative of a simple time, when girls were just girls, and boys had dreams.
1957, by the way, was the year that cars sprouted tail fins. They looked like tropical fish, but they were a lot of fun. Push button radios were a new deal.
And Sputnik went up. I was in 7th grade.
If you've found other great playlists, please post them.

I originally made that playlist for my parents' 50th anniversary in 2007. It remains my favorite. I remember my father saying that the only reason my mom married him was for his 1951 Mercury!

It's a great playlist, and it was a great car! Thanks for the story. And the playlist.

I'd marry someone for that car. Suicide doors are awesome.
