Title: RPI install reverted to unregistered after upate to .62
Post by: whoareyou on September 21, 2021, 03:08:52 pm
Hi.  I had not updated version 28 for a little while, and went through normal process.    I was updated to version 28.0.62
After normal update JRiver license was reverted to a trial period and 8 days remaining.

Attempting to re-install license all looks ok, but JRiver still indicates it is in trial mode (see jpg).

Only way to restore license was to select Help / restore license which had my registration info pre-filled, and the registration proceeded as expected.

Any ideas?

Running the license registration with sudo may be part of your problem (assuming you don't normally run JRiver as root); root is a different user than the pi user and that may be goofing up the registration process.

Sheesh & thanks!.  I got so caught up in other stuff I was doing I did not even notice I was sudo on this command.

MC should never be run as root or sudo.
