Title: DSD128 Playback on OSX and Mytek-Firewire
Post by: pirassic on June 19, 2014, 10:27:09 am
Hi there.
Is DSD128 not available via Firewire on Mytek DSD DAC?
Is it a limitation of JRiver or a DAC firware/driver limitation on OS X?

It looks like the Mytek requires stereo DSD128 audio data over Firewire to be presented as 4 channel DoPE at half the sampling rate.  MC doesn't currently handle this mode and it won't be a simple change to implement it.  We will add this feature but I can't predict when it will be implemented.

Me too.
Firewire sounds much better than USB in my opinion.

Is it a problem of the Windows version as well?
