I am hoping that a new post, might get some better response...HELP...   for my issues.

Trial and error, along with some assistance from where I bought my device, has gotten me a little further along.

In an effort to put my library into Flac format,  so  SR35 device can read files better, I mistakenly  Did Not check all the boxes when converting.
That portion of the problem resolved, now behind me. However, not until I had already converted 3,450 songs  :o
Trying to get those duplicates out of the way, before proceeding with converting the rest of the library.
Have yet to uncover anything, within the player,  that allows me access to duplicates. Nor has any search w/in the forum provided info that I can comprehend.
I did try highlighting, the non-Flac files ,on 1 album but when I choose delete, it only gave 1 song as a choice.   So, that is my dilemma  :-\

Sort of expecting that I'll need to manually delete those duplicates (album by album)    But, 1 song at a time ?!?  Please tell me there's an alternative to that  :'(

Topic says it all, running Ubuntu LTS 22.04.  Window only shows crossover slope drop down and not the frequency drop down selector.

Worth noting that .m4a is a container format and is used by different (lossless and lossy) audio codecs like Apple Lossless and AAC. It's a good idea to know what audio codec you're using with your audio files as they use the same file extension/container.

I recently upgraded to GNOME 46 and it looks like I'm now missing the RM&C tool popup window. Standard view loses focus and I have to "Esc" to get it back. Settings windows opens fine.

gnome-shell is throwing this error:

Shouldn't this be extended to include an Optional Image for the Shuffle Albums option?
In addition shouldn't the Shuffle Album option be in the upper (shuffle) part of the RMB menu and not the bottom (reshuffle) one?
Based on current functionality, "Shuffle Albums" is a one-time command.  When run, it organizes tracks in Playing Now by album, orders by track number within each album, and then shuffles the album order (if a track is playing, its album is listed first).  It does not automatically shuffle albums when a new album is added to Playing Now.  So as operational today, "Shuffle Albums" belongs below the line and does not need its own button image.

That said, it is not clear to me that items above the line always result in an automatic shuffle, as one might expect, when new items are added to Playing Now.  For example:  Select "Shuffle On".  Add an album to Playing Now.  I find that all new tracks appear at the bottom of the list and are not shuffled into the existing mix, even after the currently playing song completes.  Same with "Shuffle Automatic".  Same with adding single tracks.  Even relaunching MC with these options selected does not shuffle those tracks into the mix .

Am I misunderstanding, or is something broken?

Thanks.  Do you know of anything for .m4a files?

Interesting....

It was set to normal, but I don't recall ever changing that setting.  Could be why I have so many files that didn't rip accurately and that glitch and sputter on playback.

I've set it to secure for future rips.

Bottom line is that if the disc is damaged there's not much MC or anything else is going to do about it.
