Title: Intel services causing drop outs
Post by: Glimmer on December 30, 2014, 08:10:01 pm
Hello

Recently I had problems where my audio would drop out (I dunno if thats the right term, like just stop for a second and continue). It seemed random and with DSD and PCM.

I have a TEAC UD-501 DAC and Gigabyte GA-B85N Phoenix motherboard (which I chose because it has the ability to turn off the power on one of there USB connectors)

Anyway I think I have solved the problem by disabling the "Intel PROSet monitoring service"

I have had problems with this before and sound quality. Is this a known problem?

Thanks very much for posting that.  I'll add it to the "Weird and Wonderful" thread.
