I have a Macbook Air M1 with MC28.0.106(Silicon), while I tried to out put 6 channels music to Denon AVR-X5200W (HDMI in), there is no sound from Center and Sub. Then, I tied starting doing the calibration for checking each channel by Tools/ Advanced Tools/Audio Calibration, all channels works fine except Center(Channel 3) and Sub woofer(Channel 4). Could you help? Thanks.

I've checked other posts, looks like this is a bug, but not sure if it has been fixed by new version, I mean MC29, as I run the latest MC28 at the moment, the prolem still exists.

Usually this kind of problem is a setup problem. I can't help you with Mac. Sorry.
Did you try a Google search for similar problems?
-
start with Audio Midi Setup (Utility in Mac OS) and run the test to see if Mac outputs relevant channels

JimH,
I searched Google, and it leads me to here - https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=131363.0

Look for similar problems that are not JRiver specific.

I just tried to use Audio Midi to verify my system, looks like no luck. Audio Midi test each channel , result is ok, but no sound from center and subwoofer channels while using MC28.

Besides Macbook M1, tried playback six channels music onto another two: iMac (intel) with MC28, and WIN10 with MC24. iMac and WIN10 all have no problems playback each channel sound during Audio Calibration and multiple channels music via AVR. Macbook m1 still has problem: There is sound from center channel while Audi Midi test, but no sound from center channel while performing Audio Calibration.
In my case, for enjoying multiple channels music, take WIN10 or MAC (intel), do NOT use MAC(Silicon), not compatible at the moment.

MacMini M1, Monterey 12.5; MC29 0.66;
Audio Calibration from MC, 5.1 I get all channels during Audio Calibration.
My output is headphone out from mac to powered speakers (L and R).
I get full downmix of all 6 channels to 2 speakers.
(Channels set to 2 channels, JRSS mixing - on)
When Sub set to silent, there is no sound when testing Sub. With Sub on - Sub is present.
Hope it helps to isolate the problem.

AGAWA, your MC is version 29? okay, and you down mix of all 6 channels to 2 channels? Thanks.

exactly so.
