Title: Library move problem with cover art
Post by: twebb72 on August 26, 2010, 08:22:22 pm
I need some help... I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and also reinstalled MC 14 (so I can soon upgrade, and move my library over).
My library folder, cover art folder, and music are on an external drive, so once MC was installed, I simply pointed it to my library. All my files came up (so it seems) but a whole bunch of album art is missing. Any ideas on what caused this? Resolutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated as my collection took many hours (actually over a month of persistent effort) to organize well.
Thanks in advance.

Update:
I mapped my cover art folder with certainly filled in most of the gaps in my cover art. But i noticed that all the m4a and m4b files no longer have their cover art. Is there a difference in how MC stores these covers?
Update:
Found most of them inside
OLD_DRIVE:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 14\Cover Art
Copied them to my mapped cover art folder, then ran (Right click) "Cover art" > "Quick find in file / Cover art directory". Looks like the m4a's don't get stored inside the file. I'll keep an eye out for that in the future (or, better yet, convert them to mp3).
