Hello,
I dont speak english, sorry.
A suggestion for playing now.
add: in playing now specify (defined by the user) for audio or video.
When executed sound (music)> to go for playing now/audio automatically.
When executed video > to go for playing now/video automatically.
Did you understand?
Regards,
Fabricio, from Brazil.

Try Tools/Options/General/Behavior.

Sorry, friend JimH. I speak add zone specify (defined by the user) for audio and video.
When executed audio or video > to go for playing now zone specify audio or video automatically.
Do you understand, now?

Follow Jim's lead...

I think that what Fabricio is asking for is that if he is playing music, then decides to play a video, that the video opens in it's own separate playing now list, rather than replace all the audio files in the current playing now list.
I'm personally not so keen on this idea, seeing it as an added level of complexity in an already busy tree.
"Recent Playing Now's" takes care of this well enough for me, especially so, as the track being played at the time the playlist entry is created is remembered, and playback begins from that track.
-marko.

Friend marko, you understood me. My propose is that, in Playing now: i think that the program could work with separate link zone for audio and video. First, defined by the user: a link zone for audio, a link zone for video. After the Media Center will work alone. When I click in audio file, the program will to playing now link zone audio. When I click in video file, the program will to playing now link zone video.
This is my suggestion to add in program, JRiver Media Center.

Do you speak in Tools/Options/General/Behavior?
Thanks,

"Tools/Options/General/Features" (see attached image)
They are not persistant, ie, they are cleared when MC exits, but during a session, each time playing now is replaced, it saves the outgoing playing now list into a folder under "Playlists" in the tree.

I agree with this and recently made the same request here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=63476.0
This would especially be useful in Theater View.

Ok, I see now.
Somewhat related to this I would also like:
1) Remember Playing Now for connected Library Server clients instead of restoring that of the main zone on the server each time they connect.
2) Have different Playing Nows for different media types. For example, have a "video" Playing Now so that when watching a movie it won't clear all the music you may have added. I know Zones can kind of do this now but it is not automatic.
I think also.
