Title: Is there a way to have JRiver search for album art automatically?
Post by: stumpygremlin on May 16, 2019, 01:35:57 pm
I'm wondering if there's a way to have JRiver MC23 search for album art automatically and import it to my files, rather than having to do it myself. If so, how?

What do you mean by "do it myself"?  How are you doing it now?

If you rip a CD, MC will look up the metadata for it including the Cover Art, if you have the setting "Get cover art from internet after ripping" checked.
If you are importing new files, Auto Import can look up Cover Art. It is a setting in Auto Import; "Get Cover Art".
If you have already imported files, you can select one or more files, right-click one of them, and choose "Get From Internet".
To support that, there is a Smartlist called "Audio -- Missing Cover Art" you can use to find files that do not have Cover Art.

What are you looking for?

Thanks. I didn't know that was a thing. I'll have to try that.

I've been Google image searching album art and adding it into the tag by hitting "paste from clipboard" or whatever the command is.
