plugin Breakthrough.........I dunno if anyone else has figured this out yet but Did you know that if you use another plugin host inside Directx host you can improve the stability and add VST plugins.
I like to call it the Johnny carson method, because the regular DirectX host sits back and let's the Special guest host take over. Clever huh?
Download FFX-4 DX-VST. at
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/vb-audio/us/products/dxrack/dxrack.htm
and then
download spin audio DX wrapper lite at
http://www.spinaudio.com/downloads.php?download_type=1&download_id=27
install both apps
Then open media center dsp studio select directx host. from the plugin list select
VB Rack: ffx4
add DX vst Wrapper lite plugin to the VB Rack: ffx4. host and select your vst plugin.
I tried it and it works for me. Best of all these are freeware. DFX rest in peace
if you're lookin for
free VST plugins.... check out this site.

VST-DX Wrapper is not freeware. It's a 5-minute demo. :(

I beg to differ.......
You might want to look again at their site.
Spin Audio has a demo version of VST-DX wrapper pro which I purchased myself. But they also have another version under the free products section called VST DX wrapper lite. The drawback is it only works for one plugin. No time limit though

Correct. There are two version of the VST-DX wrapper plugin.
A Pro version:

A Lite version (Free) that supports only one VST plugin:
