Nice! Here's the needed commands for the repositories:
64-bit MC 22 repo:
sudo wget http://dist.jriver.com/latest/mediacenter/mediacenter22jessie.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mediacenter22.list
32-bit MC 22 repo:
sudo wget http://dist.jriver.com/latest/mediacenter/mediacenter22.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mediacenter22.list
ARM MC 22 repo:
sudo wget http://dist.jriver.com/latest/mediacenter/mediacenter22native.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mediacenter22.list
Then execute..
sudo apt-get update
Then finally...
sudo apt-get install mediacenter22

When will this become available on QNAP?

When will this become available on QNAP?
Probably not soon. Maybe in a few months.

Should an upgrade to MC22 for Windows be avoided until the QNAP version is available?
That is, will the current QNAP version be able to use MC22 Library Server in Windows?

It will not. MC21 and MC22 cannot talk to each other due to format changes in the Library.

I noticed that the SoX conversion option is not in the menu in this build. Is it a Windows only option or is it just not ready for Linux yet?

It's Windows-only, but I sent an email to our Linux and Mac experts begging them to change it! So we can hope :)

I assume since the Mac build got SoX, that the Linux build won't be far behind? ;)
