Title: Two questions
Post by: eljr on March 15, 2015, 12:31:38 pm
1) I change or add info on tags, then when I close the program and reopen it, the changes are gone.

Why?

How do I get them to stay changed? (like artist, album, genre)

2) Why is my OPPO 105 often not seen by JRiver?

This is getting old. Is there any help anywhere from JRiver?

No ideas on #2, but on #1, maybe you're tagging on a client and the server isn't accepting the changes.  If so, turn on "authentication" under Media Network settings.

I feel blessed, JRiver recognized my Oppo 105 this morning!

How lucky.

"If so, turn on "authentication" under Media Network settings."

On the client? or on the server?

Authentication lets you add a login and password on the server side.

It isn't normally needed on a LAN unless you feel you need the protection.

No luck today.

JRiver only sees a non existent OPPO 103 today. Not sure how this is possible but it is routine with this software.

Good news, after rebooting both laptops and turning the 105 off and on, after a few hours, it recognizes and connects to the 105 again.
