Any chance of hardware CD (or other physical disc media) being supported by the Linux version in the foreseeable future ?

Also second - CD ripping and playing is critical for a media player for me

Rip in by itself is interesting, by also you can do it on the OS level in a pinch (https://youtu.be/v25I-TXuyXo), then convert to FLAC or MP3. What should not be lost in the weeds is to look up and fill tags based on a CD ID.

CD ripping is a MUST, thus DVD/CD Drive recognition should be a BASIC feature.
I wouldn't have just paid for MC30 if I knew this was missing.
Please advise when this feature will return to both MC29 and 30.

CD ripping for linux is now supported in MC30.
