Title: JRemote as a player

I know JRemote is a remote, and a very good one. My question is could it also be tweaked to be an alternative player for content on the device. I can't always link to my network if there's no wifi, but I have my audio on my iPad and some movies for the kids and let's face it, JRemote is just a far better interface than apples players.
