I ripped new UHD disk (makeMKV)
I usually rip them with all audio and sub tracks. I had previous rip of HD disk with all audio and sub track from that disk too.
UHD and HD disk are from different region
so have different set of audio and sub tracks (one is Asian and another is Europe). So I decided to cramp all audio and sub tracks with one UHD video (total 22 audio tracks and 52 PGS subtitle tracks) with MKVToolnix. Final file fails to play in MC. MC just skip to next movie (MPC-HC and VLC all play that file fine).
I remux final file leaving only English audio and subs
and MC was able to play that file.
So my question is
is there limit to number of audio and subtitle tracks in MKV container for MC to play that file? and what that limit is?

OK
MPC-HC cannot play the file straight too
on playing the timer runs but nothing shows, but if skip forward MPC-HC start to play it correctly
Seems only player able to handle this is VLC

Over 64 total tracks there are some limitations, yes, not in MC, but in LAV Filters that both MC and MPC-HC use.
It should be fixable though, will just need some time.
If you could provide a small sample file that demonstrates the problem that would be helpful, ie. cut the first 10 seconds or something like that.

5sec is 17MB
how can I send it?

Post on dropbox or similar.

I got the sample, thanks. I'll look into resolving this soon.

Any progress?
I thought I went overboard when I put European BD sound/sub track into Asian UHD remux
total 22 audio and 52 sub (I rip force subtitles into separate tracks
that's why number of subs are over double of audio tracks)
But now I ran into same problem playing Casino Royal UHD folder rip (folder rips to preserve Dolby Vision until mkv can hold that)
12 audio and 27 sub tracks
same as before, movie in MC does not start playing and skips to next movie
Quantum of Solace UHD folder rip with 13 audio and 22 sub tracks plays fine though

The original issue was specific to MKVs with more then 64 tracks. Blu-rays would not be affected by the same bug, but perhaps something similar.
I think I have Casino Royale on UHD, I'll check it out.
The MKV issue will need an update to LAV Filters, which I'm slowly working on.
