Title: How to replicate playlists between two copies of Media Center?
Post by: simonmason on February 01, 2007, 07:12:09 am
I have Media Center installed on my server serving up music and stuff to the whole house.  I have my iPod connected to one of my PCs on my network.  I had to install Media Center locally on this machine and have it create it's own database because I can't sync my iPod to the network database.  I want to replicate my playlists from the server to this local machine - easily and ideally automatically.  What is the best way to do this?  Thanks.

One way would be to simply backup the server database and restore it to the ipod computer.  The playlists do go with the backup and restore.  This works very well and fast.  One can run MC 11.1 and 12 and backup database in 11.1 and restore it to 12.  This is great
