Title: Plans to support Streaming on MacOS
Post by: henning65 on March 26, 2021, 03:54:24 am
Hallo

As far as I understand JRiver MediaCenter and many users have a negative position related to the use of streaming services and if / if not MC should support this services.

As far as I understand for Windows users exist a workaround to pass streaming content to MC.

I would like to know, if there is a procedure / a workaround for MacOS using MC27.

Thanks for your help.

There is one.

Using an app like mconnect (Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.conversdigitalpaid&hl=en&gl=US), IOS (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mconnect-player/id503760460)).
Here you can connect to Tidal or Qobuz and stream to your JRiver via DNLA.
It will then be played through JRiver audio path.
It works perfect without any loss of quality

@Wheaten:  I’m trying to make what you describe work.  I’ve turned on Media Network, allowed MC through the W10 Firewall and ticked the 3 DLNA boxes, but MConnect still doesn’t see MC.  Are there any other settings that I’ve missed?
