Title: 2D/3D playback question
Post by: TheShoe on June 09, 2017, 09:18:07 am

Is it possible to set up a rule in MC to not change resolution for 2D playback and leave it at my desktop default of 4K and window mode

but for 3D playback, have it kick in madVR exclusive mode AND change the resolution to 1080p

I'm trying to avoid toggling the 3D Display Mode setting in the OS so that it won't disable the nVidia stereoscopic setting.

Unfortunately if you turn the OS 3D setting off, then the nVidia display driver disables its stereoscopic setting.

Turning the OS 3D setting back on does NOT re-enable the nVidia driver stereoscopic setting and so it becomes a step I need to do the next time I want to watch a 3D movie in MC

never mind.  seems this won't work either.

unfortunately to get 2D playnack to work when 3D is enabled in OS and nVidia control panel, madVR needs to disable OS 3D setting which causes nVidia driver to disable its setting.  Restoring the OS 3D setting when stopping playback does not subsequently re-enable the nVidia setting.

I consider this an issue between Windows 10 and nVidia drivers
