Title: Glitchy audio when changing volume
Post by: dmitch77 on October 31, 2022, 03:16:01 pm
I've noticed that when adjusting the MC volume, the audio output is glitchy while the volume is changing. It sounds kind of like an old-school dirty volume pot. The noise is quite noticeable when changing the volume on a steady 1 KHz sine tone, per the screen recording referenced below.

The noise happens whether or not the "Volume protection" switch is on. It happens when sending audio to either internal speakers or to an external USB DAC. MC is configured for internal volume.

2017 iMac, macOS 13.0, MC 30.0.18. (I also verified that the glitch occurs on a recent MC 29.)
