Title: Do I have to buy a new copy of JRemote?
Post by: chrisc on November 25, 2017, 07:37:31 am
Had a spot of bother with my iPad (getting very slow)(also JRemote crashed) and the Apple repair shop deleted everything from the iPad, after telling me there was nothing the matter with it

I purchased JRemote a few years back and use it nearly every day, since I am partially disabled

On going to the App Store, I see I have to pay for it again

Is that correct?

Other programs I bought just reload without paying a second time

Thanks

Maybe it was purchased with a different Apple account?

Thanks, I never thought of that.  I don't recall having another account, although I remember once an App would not load, it had the reason "Not available in your country"

If you open the app store, go to the updates tab and click on your account picture in the upper-right.
From there, you can bring up your list of purchased apps, and display "All" or "Not on this device"
You should be able to download it again, if it's on that account.
