Title: Nuc Id with Linux Setup
Post by: zonka on February 22, 2018, 03:11:20 pm
I'm a complete novice with Linux.  I am getting a Nuc Id today in the mail and I was just wondering if there were any "best practices" in setting up a Linux system for the best audio.  Are there services that should be shut off, etc...
JRiver MC will be the only thing on it and I want bit perfect data sent via hdmi to my Marantz receiver (and connected via ethernet to my Windows 7 PC that has all my music).
I don't want any upsampling, etc... - I just want everything sent to the receiver in its native form/resolution from my Windows machine.
Any tips at all would be appreciated because I've never used a Linux system or JRiver - but I'm really looking forward to it:)

You don't really need to do anything with Linux or know anything about it.  The options on the text menu and MC's options are the only thing you need to consider.
