After upgrading to MC25 I uninstalled MC24. This removed the "MediaJukebox Application" class from registry (and possibly others), causing OLE connections to the API to fail (like MCRatings uses).
Reinstalling MC25 fixes the issue.
Expected behavior: MC24 uninstall should not remove common registry keys if a newer version is present.
During MC24 uninstall there is an option about removing registry entries, but it is not clear in this forum or in the Uninstall UI if that option can be safely checked or not. Apparently not?
