Title: Error in custom fields
Post by: SkGe on September 10, 2018, 09:43:50 am
I don't know if this is normal behaviour or is a error on the program.
When i'm trying to modify some fields, to say, change the name that field after i modify it become blank in the area modified and it goes default and i can't delete the field because it become not able to do it.
Here is two stage of this problem.

I'm confused because the name should not be editable.  And for me, it's not.

I think this user is changing the name of a user defined field not one of the standard fields Matt. tag-Album Styles isn't one I've seen before! Possibly a new field called Album Styles was created and then the name changed by adding the tag- prefix, who knows?

Even fields that were user created have a locked name.  The name is just never editable for me.

The problem appears when if i try to modify the name of display of any of custom fields. It appears blank and can't do anything after. If i switch to another field after i modify the name and come back that happens.
Hope it clarify this issue.

The problem seems to be that if you add a custom field and fill in some details then click off of it to another field and then select it again and change the display name everything gets blanked. At least it did when I tried this with an added My Field which I then called Album Styles in display name, then clicked off, clicked on Album Styles in the field list and changed it's display name again. Not what I would normally do with a custom field.

Next build will fix this.

The history:
Fixed: Editing the display name of a field in the Manage Library Fields dialog would break the connection with the field.
