Title: Question on Settings>Transcode Audio and AIFF files
Post by: mwheelerk on January 20, 2017, 02:57:59 pm
With the Settings on JRemote is a selection for Transcode Audio and to have it On or Off. I understand its function and have always had it Off to send my files without compression or transcoding. However I just noticed that within the explanation of its use it lists the file formats it supports and AIFF (which is the format of all of my files is not listed). So my question is I use AIFF files but have Transcode Off are my AIFF files being transcoded anyways and if not why do they seem to work when not listed as being supported.

You're using JRemote on an Apple device right? If so AIFF is a format natively supported by Apple. (Whereas if using JRemote on Android, then AIFF is not supported natively).
