Everything worked perfectly before.... I dunno what changed. Latest build of MC 20...
Media runs off NAS thru LAN... Local videos no longer play either.
I click on a title, screen goes full, black and that's it. Playback time stamp stays at 0:00. No error messages at all.
My music plays fine off sever...
-
Also, video playback thru VLC and other players from server works fine...
-
Switched to RO standard, as per wiki recommendations...
Error: failed to setup video window
-
You could try reinstalling MC20 (if that is what you're using).
If it was working before and isn't now, the problem must be either a change in your MC setup, or a change in something outside MC. Video drivers, for example, or antivirus.
Are the files where MC believes they are?

Thanks for the reply Jim...
I reinstalled over top of the original install (without uninstalling)....
I went to option/locate/in MC a video file off my server. It pulled it up okay, after 10 seconds or so.
I installed new video drivers and a newer build of Windows 10 (insider) since I think...
Just did a full import.
No change...

Check all the MC settings. Everything seems okay.
When I play a file, I can hear my transferring data over the network (it makes a crazy capacitor buzz). Gonna revert back to older vid driver.
-
Video driver was the culprit...
nVidia 375.57 to be specific
-
Thanks for reporting back.
I read that driver 375.75 was released with bugs and NVidia quickly replaced it with 375.63.
I don't know if Win10 would automatically upgrade the video driver or not - but it would be a good idea for everyone to check.

375.70 was released Oct. 28th....havent tested these ones yet.
