Title: Entire Computer freezes / crashes seconds after I start MC13 and load video!

Hello all!  I'm a new user and trying to learn the ropes!!

When I start MC13, and click on my videos folder, seconds later my mouse freezes and my whole computer gets locked up.  I'm forced to reboot, and my computer works fine again, until I start MC13 and load video again.

I don't know exactly what to offer by way of information, but I have XP codec pac, and Nero 8 on my system.  Please ask for anything else you might need to know!  thanks!!!!

Is the video on a network drive or drive that is slow?  Try waiting.

Virus checker?

Filetype?

Try changing DirectShow settings.
