Title: Debian with powerPC

In an attempt not to trash a powerPC (obsolete) I installed ubuntu. Media center won't run because needs i386?
Is there a work around? Does MC run on Mac OS/powerPC?

We only support i386/x86_64 or ARM, sorry. PowerPC is not supported, neither on Mac.

Right, Thanks for rapid reply. At least I know there is no point in switching back to Mac OS.

Depends on what you are doing but I think you'll find linux faster on PPC than OSX and more capable as a server at any rate.
