Title: Questions about Pi Id - noob
Post by: scowboy on November 25, 2016, 09:53:19 am
Hi,

Am I missing something or is accessing the Pi Id with a CLI not allowed?  I've not found any login credentials that work.  The problem I am trying to solve is that I want to put a 1TB USB hard drive on my Raspberry Pi and then transfer my iTunes library for import.  I have managed to get the disk formatted to Ext4 using my Mac and Paragon ExtFS but the but the Pi says that I don't have permission to access the drive once connected.  I was hoping to change ownership once I got it connected to Pi. Otherwise can I just get the disk connected to the Pi, change the permissions and use Filezilla to move the library across?  I'm not great with Linux but I do use it a bit a work.

Thanks for putting up with these rudimentary questions.

The Id is not meant to be used via the CLI.
In the disk menu there is an option to mount external drivers either read-write or read-only
