Title: Unexpected shutdowns
Post by: jtwrace on August 06, 2017, 07:40:55 am
23 works great for me then it shuts down and offers me to reopen which then works fine for a bit more then it happens again.

Can you try to determine if it is related to a specific file or file type?

Try playing a single album, over and over, for example.

How long does it play?

You probably have one or more bad files that auto import is trying to import and then MC crashes.  Turn off auto import as a test:

Tools > Options > Library & Folders > run auto import in background > (uncheck)

I can confirm that didn't work.  It shutdown during a song that was playing.

The same thing happened to me, twice, within five minutes of first starting to play MC23 for Mac. In both cases I was playing a 44/24 AIFF file and browsing through the library using JRemote.  I reloaded the same files again and the second time it played all the way through with a mix of file types and resolutions (about a half-hour total).

That still sounds like bad file(s), but we can't be sure without a log file.  What you want to do is turn on logging.  Then create the crash.  Then re-open MC, and "collect the logs".  Finally take that log zip file and attach it here.  This is all under help > Logging .

Good luck!

It looks like maybe you edited the ZIP files.  Neither of them have "Previous Log.txt" .  That's the file we need to look at.
