I have a preset of my preferred columns in MC23. The one that lists the songs & album info. How do I make this the default? My preset is saved, but I always have to right click the column header & select presets & then mine!!! Also is there a way to set "Auto size columns" as the default?
Thanks,
Kev

Options > Tree & View > List > Auto size columns

Thanks, it's checked, but maybe my preset had the columns spread out. Any idea about setting my preset as default?

The view is reset if Media Center crashes, but it should persist otherwise.

Every time I open MC23 MAC the columns are back to the original config. I can save my preset, select it, close MC23 & when I reopen it, the same album has the old column config. I even selected the provided "Audio" preset & got the same results.
The "Auto size columns" needs to be selected each time as well & I have it checked in "Tree & View".

Has this issue been resolved? I have been having the same exact problem as the original poster for as long as I have been a MC user (several years). My column view settings do not stick. Every time I change the focus to another branch in the view tree, I need to manually select which columns I want to show, etc. It's really frustrating.

more on this issue... (I can reproduce in Windows too)

It doesn't affect me because I don't use tree browsing, but the issue is there, in MC24 too.

Has this issue been resolved? I can't find a solution anywhere. I'm not understanding how selecting "auto-size columns" would have any impact on defaulting to a preset. Mine is checked and that doesn't work. Is this just an unsolvable issue/bug that has been overlooked in Media Center 23? Wish I could get better support from staff after paying quite a bit of money for the product.
