Title: Same track to multiple albums?
Post by: Sapagrino on August 31, 2018, 10:00:58 am
I doubt this is possible, but can't hurt to ask:

So, I'm listening to Wilco's Summerteeth from a CD rip, and note that there are several tracks (e.g., "She's a Jar") from that album that are on their greatest hits collection ("What's Your 20") which I have in 24 bit download.

Is there any way to cause the same 24 bit file of She's a Jar to play BOTH:
1) when I'm listening to Summerteeth (in the track 2 position); and
2) when I'm listening to What's Your 20 (in the track 20 position).

I understand I can make a COPY of the 24 bit ripped file and override tags, and delete/relegate/stack the CD rip version, to have that 24-bit copy play as part of Summerteeth but then I have to manually keep the tags of both the Summerteeth and What's Your 20 versions in sync (like I would for the separate CD and 24bit versions).

This is not critical at all, but thought I'd ask if possible to assign the same track to two albums.  Thanks.
