Title: Media Center Linux license
Post by: mindup on January 24, 2022, 12:24:27 pm
I just bought a linux license on your site.  My MC 28 server refuses to record ...

Should I wait for next Linux version or is there a way to solve this issue  ?

Thanks for helping.

Make sure you're using Media Center 28.0.103 or newer, located here and it'll work: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,131798.0.html

I have updated my version to 28.0.103 and tried again to install my new Linux license, and it worked just fine !
Thank you for your prompt solution !

By the way I did not find any option in menus to apply Media Server software updates or to have Media server auto-updating .
I suppose that none of this has been implemented ?

Media Server is part of MC.  Take a look at the wiki.

If you are referring to updating Media Center not the Media Server component of Media Center please see this link:

Updates on debian based linux machines (including ubuntu) are done like all other updates on linux, with the apt command (or by the system if yours automates the process).
Non-debian updating is not automatic.
