Title: Interested in Audio Only...What am I missing if I'm still MC25?
Post by: ml8764jr on January 31, 2023, 02:48:22 pm
Hi all.... I know there's a ton of release notes, these boards, etc.  but just want some quick input and practical feedback from those who care to provide it.  Getting old too...and it's becoming a bit confusing to read the newer technical jargon.

I use JR for music and am generally very happy with MC25.   I use the DSP room options, equalizer, crossfade, etc. etc.  and WOULD NOT want to lose any of the features I already have.   I don't use crazy plugins or anything else.

Are there any advancements in the remote function with later versions?  Is the interface easier to use? Are there better DSP effects/settings.

Looking for any opinions...

Honestly, the best way to find out is to download MC30 and try it in its 30 day free trial and explore it to see what new things it can do.

Hello ml8764jr, it’s understandable wanting to stay with with you know especially if it works.

I really wish JRiver would have in “in app” update / upgrade path instead of always installing a new version … It’s a pain.

I personally support the JRiver team when a new version becomes available (not always downloading it) but still support them.

I can also confirm that the current “official release “ of MC30 is solid and very robust.

Regards,
Brian
